Dr Abiola Oshodi is not faceless, he is a qualified, medical doctor, fellow of the Royal college of Physician of Canada and fellow American Association Psychiatric, a holder of Bachelor of Surgery, MBBS from the University of Benin as far back as 2007 .Dr Oshodi does not need a honorary degree to have a Dr prefix before his name-he had such a honour over 25 years ago after his qualification as a medical doctor – such an accomplished medical practitioner does not need to be faceless.A man that had put himself up for an election into the exalted office of a House of Representative cannot be faceless.
However we felt that our party is a respected body , and if we have a grievance, we know how to officially channel it,- we have listening leaders whom we could always reach out to.
Since Hon Timehin Adelegbe media group through Mr Sola Obagbemisoye has decided to issue a statement and had cast the first stone, and taken an in house matter to the public space, we are ready to set the record straight, although we had not issued a statement before now: No one is afraid of anyone, and if any organisation is afraid, definitely not Dr Abiola Oshodi campaign organization.
But we do have a position and we can present it without mud slinging , without name calling- we are just asking for a level playing field, we are not encouraged that our hands are being tied behind our backs even before the contest has started, we are worried that a level playing field is being impaired and or compromised .
What is an election- it is a formal and organised choice by vote of a person for political office or other positions. And what is a vote-a vote is a formal indication between two or more candidates or courses of action, expressed typically through a ballot or a show of hands.
The APC, our great party had slated a Primary election by May 2022 and the stakeholders, one of those we expected to be refereeing is already saying that the battle which had not even being fought is already won.
We love football- imagine Man City is going to play Manchester United or Barcelona against Real Madrid, the Manchester Derby and the el classico respectively and days before, even before any ball is kicked, the referee announced that yes, the audience could come watch the match, but we know the winner already , no matter how good and how prepared the other club is, they will be aghast and distraught . We should be more aghast as citizens , because whosoever wins in the APC primary and if such a person wins in the general election will have a say in what happens to Owo /Ose especially when we have a representative in almost four years that had not presented a single bill. All sons of Owo/Ose should be worried.
We in the Abiola Oshodi organisation are not only worried, but that is why Dr Oshodi is contesting so that he could make the desired change .
And we should know that decisions have consequences-let us refresh our memories- we all know Mr Femi Otedola, the Nigerian oil magnate and billionaire, but not many know the story of his father, Chief Michael Otedola and how he became the Governor of Lagos State in 1992-he did – because of misplaced anointing of candidates.

The main party was the Social Democratic Party but lost to a minority party, the National Republican Convention because of a crisis arising from a wrong anointing of candidates.
We are not saying anything new, our party leader, President Mohammed Buhari had counselled and cautioned us on the way forward .
“I enjoin you all to follow due process in all the party processes and more importantly to develop more mechanisms against corruption.
“I call on all party members to abide by all extant laws, rules, and regulations and to leaders of our party to avoid the imposition of candidates that cannot win popular elections.
“This dictatorial behaviour cost us many strategic seats in the past. In the recent past, this led to some of our strong members, unfortunately, opting to go elsewhere because of the unfairly oppressive behaviour of party leaders at the state level.
“I must caution strongly against any tendency towards developing cliques, infighting within the party.
“We want to win well not succumb to factions on account of personal acerbities and desire to retain control at all costs. That surely is not the road to win,’’ he said.
