The government disclosed this in a circular addressed to all teachers in the state, signed by the chairman of the Osun State Teaching Service Commission, Mr Tope Mustapha, in Osogbo on Friday.

Mustapha said, “As part of our efforts to reposition and strengthen our educational system, the Osun State Teaching Service Commission is implementing a policy to transfer and post teachers who have stayed more than five years in their present schools to other schools.

“This decision aligns with international pedagogy standards, which emphasise the importance of teacher rotation for optimal educational growth and development.

“Unfortunately, the overstay of some teachers in their current schools has led to the formation of cabals and undermined administrative dispositions, hindering the progress of our schools.

“To address this challenge, we will be transferring and posting affected teachers to new schools before the resumption of the next academic session, starting from September 16th, 2024.”

Mustapha subsequently urged the affected teachers to prepare their minds for the change, which he said was aimed at promoting a more dynamic and inclusive educational environment.
