17 Injured As Hezbollah Launches Drone Attack On Israel

A drone attack launched by Hezbollah on northern Israel on Tuesday has left at least 17 people injured, sparking fears of a potential large-scale conflict between Israel and the Lebanese militant group.
According to Anadolu Agency, the Israeli military reported that multiple drones were launched from Lebanon, with one intercepted and another crashing in the city of Nahariya.
According to Army Radio, the attack resulted in 17 injuries, including one serious case. The incident also triggered rocket sirens in several areas of northern Israel, as reported by Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper.
Hezbollah has claimed responsibility for launching a swarm of combat drones towards the Israeli army’s Golani Brigade headquarters and the Egoz Unit 621 at Shraga army base in northern Israel.
This move comes amid escalating tensions between Hezbollah and Israel, following the assassination of senior military commander Fouad Shukr in a July 30 airstrike in Beirut.
The assassination of Hamas political chief Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran the next day has further heightened tensions, with Iran and Hamas accusing Israel of responsibility, although Israel has not confirmed or denied involvement.
The region is on high alert for a potential full-scale war between Israel and Hezbollah, with months of cross-border fire already resulting in the deadliest clashes since the 2006 war.
This escalation occurs against the backdrop of Israel’s ongoing offensive in Gaza, which has claimed over 39,600 lives since last October.
