JUST IN : Governor Aiyedatiwa’s Aide visits Federal Fire service, promises Enhanced and focused collaboration
In a bid to strengthen emergency response efforts in Ondo State, Prince Oriade W. Adebawo, the recently appointed Special Assistant to the Governor on Emergency Response, paid a familiarization visit to the Federal Fire Service, Ondo State office complex on Tuesday 6th of August, 2024.
The visit, which took place around 10am, saw Prince Oriade Adebawo being conducted on a tour of the premises by the Controller of the Ondo State Federal Fire Service, Mr. Adeyemo Ariyo. During the tour, some of the fire-fighting tools and equipment were inspected, giving the Special Assistant a firsthand look at the resources available to the Fire Service officers.
Mr. Adeyemo Ariyo also took the opportunity to brief Prince Oriade Adebawo on some of the challenges facing the Fire Service, including the need for more government support to enhance their operations. The Controller’s plea for support was well-received by the Special Assistant, who assured him of his commitment to working closely with the Fire Service at both the state and federal levels to address these challenges as he remarked that he had personally cut his teeth in the field of emergency response & management in the Ondo State Fire Service many years ago.
Finally, Prince Adebawo further emphasized on the importance of having a healthy professional relationship between his office and the Fire Service, saying, “I am committed to ensuring that negative emergency outcomes in Ondo State are kept at the barest minimum. I believe that by working together, we can achieve this particular goal which is the cornerstone of the Government’s commitment to the good citizens of Ondo State.”
The Federal Fire Service officials through the Controller, in turn, promised to work closely with Prince Adebawo to enhance emergency response efforts in the state. The visit marked the beginning of a new era of collaboration between the Governor’s office and the Fire Service, with a shared commitment to protecting lives and property in Ondo State.
With this visit, Prince Adebawo has demonstrated his dedication to strengthening emergency response mechanisms in Ondo State, and his willingness to engage with key stakeholders to achieve this goal. As Special Assistant to the Governor on Emergency Response, he is well-positioned to drive meaningful change and improvement in this critical area.
