Talent hunts: Owo/Ose Students get cash and other prizes at the grand finale of Dr. Abiola Oshodi Creative Art Competition Aliyu Hussein Taye
This year *Dr. Abiola Oshodi* creative art contest come to an end with remarkable and brilliant display of raw talent by our students from Owo/Ose federal constituency.
The competition which exposes students to act of drawing and painting has been described as one of the best as it reawakes the forgotten craft in school curricula.
The preliminary stage started earlier this year with Representatives from most schools across the two Local Government Area, Owo/Ose.
The competition is seen by intellectuals as reinventing the lost glory of professionalism in sculpture and carving which many have chosen as carrier in the past with track record of successes.
Few among the professionals who have been successful in the act of drawing and painting were invited to coordinate the competition and to also incorporate the students into their team for greater exploit in art profession.
Our reputable professional artist who institutionalized carving and sculpture in the kingdom, Hon. Deji Aseniserare honored the grand finale with his presence and our very own Oluwatosin Kehinde who is known in art works across the country moderated the event.

*First position* , Aikolola Benjamin- *Ireakari comprehensive High School Ose local Government Area*
*Second* – Joseph Precious- *Imade College Owo*
*Third-* Ibitayo Precious- *St Catherine’s Girls Grammar school Owo*
*Fourth -* Ogunleye Michael – *Federal Government College, Ido-Ani, Ose Local Government Area*
*Fifth-* Johnson Promise- *Community Grammar school, Emure Ile, Owo*
*Sixth-* Mbam Henry- *Ekamarun Anglican Grammar school, Ifon, Ose Local Government Area*
The first position was given a cash prize of Seventy Thousand Naira (#70,000) and other prizes
The second position went home with fifty Thousand Naira (#50,000) with other prizes
While the third position went home with Thirty Thousand Naira (#30,000) with other prizes.
Fourth, Fifth and Sixth position went home with Twenty Thousand Naira (#20,000) each.
Other participating finalists were given ten thousand Naira (#10,000) each as consolation prizes.
The students appreciated *Dr. Abiola Oshodi* for the opportunity to showcase there talents and described the art competition as unique and golden.
The teachers present also showered praises and prayers on *Dr. Abiola Oshodi* and conferred on him the title of *Pillar of Education* in Owo/Ose federal constituency, they proceeded by urging other able personalities in the constituency to emulate the good work of *Dr. Abiola Oshodi* in area of education and Youth empowerment.
