Appalled by the growing decline of patriotism and the rise of cyber crimes, ritual killings and other social vices among the youths which signals danger for nation building and insecurity within the Nation.
*Amb Timothy Nwachukwu, The Convener, National Patrotism and Anti-Crime campaign is set to hold a Ten thousand youth Walk to create awareness on the need to reinvigorate the spirit of patriotism, nation building as well as enlist the Nigerian youths in a campaign against crime.*

A good governance activist, social reform Advocate, The Founder of Youth Advocates For Peace Justice and empowerment Network (YAPJEN) and the Media and communication Aide to Hon. Gambo Manzo, The Special Assistant to President Buhari on Political Affairs, Vice President office recalled that the founding fathers and leaders of the independent Nigeria had patriotism in their DNA and evidenced in the manner with which they took on the colonialists with fervour and fought with pride for a new Nigeria free from the shackles of colonialism.
Amb Nwachukwu decried that today, A handful of Nigerian youth have faith in the country while many have little or no form of emotional attachment to our national symbols, singing the National anthem, displaying the national flag and reciting the National pledge is either only for purposes of passing examinations or job interviews as majority of the young people hardly take pride in their citizenship nor do they speak proudly of Nigeria.
Amb Timothy Nwachukwu observed that there is a near general consensus that we have lost this generation of Nigerians to selfishness, greed and ethnocentric loyalty which is a clear departure from the Patriotic passion of our founding fathers most who fought for independence from the colonial masters at their youthful age.
Amb Timothy Nwachukwu expressed his readiness to partner with relevant public and private sectors to reawaken our National consciousness, make national reorientation of the Nigerian youth a priority national project inorder to strengthen the foundation for a greater Nigeria and put the country on the part of renaissance.
