Ahead of the Ngor Okpala State Constituency by-election slated to hold on Saturday, 26th February, 2022, the good people of Ngor Okpala today received the entire APC leadership and stakeholders at the Community School Ntu for the grand political rally of the APC candidate, Okenze Blyden Amajirionwu.

The mega rally led by the Governor, Dist. Sen. Hope Uzodimma who was accompanied by Deputy, Prof. Placid Njoku, Speaker IMHA, Rt. Hon. Kennedy Ibe, State Chairman of the APC, Dr. Macdonald Ebere and other dignitaries was to show solidarity and support to the party’s flag bearer for the by-election as well as an opportunity to remind the people of the need to vote for APC and its candidate.

Speaking at the event, the Governor, Sen. Hope Uzodimma reminded the people of the biblical story of the lost sheep whereby the shepherd left the 99 sheeps in search of the one missing sheep. This he explained that since the inception of democracy in 1999, the people of Ngor Okpala are yet to enjoy dividends of democracy and that this election will be a turning point for the people.

The Governor explained further that the oil wells in Ngor Okpala was ceded to River State since 1999 which has been left unchallenged until he came onboard and since then has pursued the case up to the Supreme Court which he is very optimistic that the State will get a favourable judgement.

He assured the people of Ngor Okpala of his administration’s determination to use the resources from their land to develop the area and turn it into an industrial hub with the collaborative effort of their representative and promised that a vote for APC and its candidate, Blyden Amajirionwu is a vote for total and uncommon transformation of Ngor Okpala which the people will be grateful for in time to come.
Other highpoint of the event was the burning of the green caps by the former members of Ihedioha Youth Vanguard, Ngor Okpala Chapter. The youths drawn from across the local government said that they left PDP because their parents have decided to join the 3R government and can testify that the Governor is working.

Dignitaries that attended the event were the leadership and Honorable members of the Imo State House of Assembly, Sen. Frank C. Ibezim, Ngor Okpala leaders led by Chief TOE Ekechi, Sir. George Eche, Dr. Ethelbert Okere, Rt. Hon. Chike Okafor, Hon. Princess Onuoha among other personalities.
