NIGERIANS SHOULD NOT BE GOING TO BED HUNGRY, WE MUST RETURN TO AGRICULTURE : PROPHETESS NKEIRU IHEZUO

*Prophetess Nkeiru Ihezuo, A renowned seer, praise Leader, Philanthropist and the founder of God Divine Answers Ministry Apo Abuja has expressed her displeasure that many Nigerians still go to bed hungry despite Nigeria’s arable land which has the capacity to feed the nation if properly utilised.*
The compassionate Abuja based prophetess who gave out bags of rice and cartons of Indomie noodles to over 300 vulnerable Nigerians who thronged her Ministry stated that prior to the discovery of Oil in the sixties, Nigeria was one of the most promising agricultural producers in the world,
Nigeria was number one globally in palm oil exports, ahead of Malaysia and Indonesia, and exported 47 percent of all groundnuts, far ahead of the United States of America and Argentina while export crops were the country’s main foreign exchange earner.
She expressed deep sadness that present day Nigeria is a sharp contrast of its glorious past, She stated that an estimated 2 million children in Nigeria suffer from severe acute malnutrition, Nigeria has the second-highest burden of stunted children in the world, with a national prevalence rate of 32 percent of children under five. The most affected are children and pregnant women in the North West and North Central states, where a combination of long-running armed conflict and violence, disrupted livelihoods, reduced market access, localized food production shortfall and the impacts of COVID-19 on food supply chains has placed many at risk of death from hunger.
*The woman of God who is widely known for her deep revelational knowledge stated that Nigeria has what it takes to produce agricultural products to feed its population with nutritional and healthy diets but all hands must be on deck to empower farmers in the country to enable them produce more to feed her citizens.*
*On what must be done to end hunger in Nigeria, prophetess Nkeiru popular known as Mummy Apo opined that “fighting hunger is a global mission and zero hunger is also one of the main Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs),*
*”Thus, achieving an end to hunger in Nigeria requires strong determination and commitment from the government at all levels through the appointment of technocrats who posses requisite knowledge to head Agric ministries and Parastatals in all the states, formulation of policies that support better agricultural investments, providing agriculture subsidies and incentives, promoting child and women health care, prioritising nutrition programmes, and boosting the production and consumption of climate resilient native nutritional crops are some of the elementary practices that will be crucial in defeating hunger and creating a zero hunger world by 2030”.*
