Breaking News : Former Nigerian Ambassador Declare Intention To Context For Senate
Former Nigerian Ambassador to the Republic of Togo, Sola Iji, has declared his intention to represent Ondo South senatorial district in the National Assembly.
Ambassador Iji was a governorship aspirants in the 2021 governorship election on the platform of the All Progressives Congress.
Iji said his decision to run for the Senate was to attract needed development to Ondo South.
He announced appointment of the Federal Commissioner, National Salaries, Incomes and Wages Commission [NSIWC.], Onibudo Wole Iroaye, as Director General of his campaign organisation.
Ambassador Iji explained that the appointment of Chief Iroaye was to bring his wealth of administrative and political experience to bear upon the task of coordinating his entire campaign activities
He said Chief Iroaye political trajectory spans four and half decades, and had been a member of the UPN, SDP, AD, ACN,and now a staunch member of ruling APC.
Iroaye served as Secretary to the defunct Ilaje/Ese-Odo Local Government under the defunct SDP and later became Special Assistant to late Governor Adebayo Adefarati. He was also Head of Finance and Budget of the Presidential Advisory Committee on Niger Delta Development Commission.
