2023: Otunba Elegbeleye Break Silence , Disregard lingering Rumor of his Senatorial Ambition
The Former Director General, National sport Commission and Senatorial Aspirant in Ondo North Senatorial District Otunba Gbenga Otolorin Elegbeleye has called on the citizens of the district to disregard a news circulating on social media and other online platform written by one Kayode Olusegun of his purported step down for any aspirant jostling for the APC ticket in Ondo North Senatorial District.
In a press release signed by the Otunba Elegbeleye , which was made available to journalist on Saturday, He said the intent of the purveyors of the news was malicious and should be disregarded.
Otunba Elegbeleye noted that he accorded a great respect to traditional Institutions and individuals in Ikare Akoko, Ondo North and the state in general.
He said he is optimistic of clinching the party ticket and win the general election come 2023.
The statement read in part, “The desperation of detractors of Otunba Gbenga Elegbeleye, is manifest, yet again, with the circulation of a fake news of stepping down for any aspirant mischievously captioning and passing it off as an altercation involving the Otunba Elegbeleye
“It must be stated that the intent of the purveyors of the news is patently malicious as it is obvious that the man who wrote this is bereaved of ideas to know the happenings and feelings of the people of Ondo North Senatorial District.
He stated that the news is the handiwork of mischief makers who are jealous of his track records and popularity. It is the evil propaganda of a man who ordinarily contested senate in the last election and failed woefully. How come someone who never won any election in his unsuccessful political sojourn with glaring intellectual deficiency claim to be popular?
Otunba Gbenga Otolorin is too decent to be engaged in dirty politics.
