Four suspected armed robbers, two self kidnappers arrested in Delta
Four suspected armed robbers and two self kidnapped suspects have been paraded by the Delta state police command for their involvement in burglary and self kidnap for ransom.
The Delta police command spokesperson Edafe Bright made this known in a statement made available to our correspondent, said the four suspects were arrested through a distress call from a resident in Asaba metropolis over the house to house robbery.
According to the police, the DPO B division Asaba CSP Edewor Akponegware led a patrol team to the scene and in the process , overpowered and arrested the suspects.
A search on the bag seen with the suspects led to the recovery of four locally made cut-to-size guns and five cartridges.
The suspects were said to have confessed of being behind major robbery operations at Ibusa, Issele-Asagba among others.
One other suspect who faked his kidnap with with the help of his friend, have also been arrested alongside his accomplice.
The Delta police commissioner Olufemi Abaniwonda urged parents to train and take care of their children as it will prevent them from embracing crime through the get-rich-quick syndrome.
