The Director General of Consumer Protection Council Imo State, Hon. Mrs Obioma Okafor reassured that Manufacturers of fake products will have tough times in this year 2022 as the council is ever-ready to go after them, even at their hideouts.
Okafor, who described the repositioning of the Council as one of the silent achievements of Senator Hope Uzodimma’s 3R administration in imo State.
According to her, the council now have a well repositioned, transformed and active agency that protect consumers, eliminate unwholesome, expired and hazardous products in all the market places Imo state.
The action Director General, Imo CPC, says the council under her watch will continue to discharge it’s duties to Imolites to reciprocate the Governor’s goodwill in upgrading the council.
She reiterated that the council will ensure that Imo citizens get adequate protection, satisfaction as well as redress, once any manufacturer defult their right as consumer.
