The people of Irigwe nation in Miango District of Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau State are currently in fear as gunmen suspected to be Fulani herdsmen allegedly invaded the King Palace in the area.

Report says, the king Rev. Ronku Aka escaped the attack unhurt.

The attack has caused tension among residents of the community.

The Operation SAFE HAVEN in charge of internal security in Plateau and environs has been confirmed the attack.

According to Major Ishaku Takwa who is the Military Information Officer OPSH, he explained that the attack was caused by irate youth. He also said troops have been sent to the location .

The Military information officer said, “Troops of Operation SAFE HAVEN were notified of an attack on the Palace of Mbra Ngwe Irigwe the paramount ruler of Irigwe land of Bassa local government area of Plateau state.

“The attack was carried out by Irate youths suspected to be Irigwe youth of Bassa Local Government.

“Troops of Operation SAFE HAVEN have been mobilised to the scene to ensure law and order.
