According to a source under anonimity, Irele local Government has a total of eleven thousand hecters in the local government because majority of the indigenes of the area are farmer’s.

However, it was noticed that one Surveyor Seyi and Mr Akinleye Fagbemi has brought some group of people to occupy four thousands of land in the local government on the order of the state Government, which we are not so certain of.

The camps involved in the illegal sales in IRELE local government includes: Owobambo camp, Oke Ayo Camp, Aba Ore camp, Ajana Camp, orita camp, Inisha camp, idi oro camp, Waloye camp, Aba imole, Otu oyekenha camp all in the OA7, OA11 free reserve area in IRELE local government.

According the group, our major means of livelihood depends on this farm lands, we have invested millions of naira in the cultivation of land in the afformentioned camps and as a result, illegal sales of this land wil leads to drastic and irrecoverable lost for many of us in Irele local government.

We are appealing to His Excellency, Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa to quickly swing into action in order to bring a stop to this illegal act perpetrated by one Surveyor Seyi and Mr Akinleye.

One of the farmer who who also Speaks says “our major means of survival, since we don’t have access to Government works either at the federal, state or local government level, and we never want to participate in any illegal activities to earn our living, we appeal to Ondo State Government help secure our property from illegal sales, this will help continue our farming business peacefully and also to make our own contributions to the development of the state through our tax payments and other levels.”
