Just In : Police Nab Six suspected cultists during patrol
Policemen attached to the Buffalo Squad of the Delta State Police Command have arrested six young men suspected of being members of the Black Axe Confraternity.
The command’s spokesperson, SP Bright Edafe, disclosed this in a post on X.com on Sunday.
He wrote, “Operatives attached to the Command’s Bufallo squad while on routine patrol along Ibusa Road intercepted a black GLK conveying six young boys; upon searching the suspects and the vehicle, a locally made cut-to-size gun and two live cartridges were recovered.
“Ordinarily, when people see police stopping random vehicles for a search, passersby will say Police are harassing innocent youths. Our investigation has revealed that they are suspected members of the Black Axe Confraternity.”
PUNCH reported on May 9 that the Ekiti State Police Command arrested eight suspected cult members at the Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti, following a distress call.
