*TEXT*
Joshua 2:7 KJV.
“And the men pursued after them the way to Jordan unto the fords: and as soon as they which pursued after them were gone out, they shut the gate”.
*MESSAGE*
āāā Joshua had sent out two of his men to spy secretly the land of Jericho.
āāā The two men lodged in the house of Rahab.
āāā However, the king of Jericho got to know about their mission and where they were hiding.
āāā So the king sent some of his soldiers to the house of Rahab in search of the “two spies”.
ā ā ā Rahab had hidden the two men on her roof top but told the king’s soldiers that the men had actually left before the gate of the city was shut when it was dark.
āāā So she now advised the soldiers to quickly pursue after them and the soldiers foolishly agreed and went after them š
“And it came to pass about the time of shutting of the gate, when it was dark, that the men went out: whither the men went I wot not: pursue after them quickly; for ye shall overtake them” – Joshua 2:5.
āāā Remember beloved, the two men Joshua sent to spy Jericho were still in the city but those enemies the king sent to look for them now left the city.
āāā The bible recorded, immediately the enemies left their own city, the gate was shut against them.
ā ā ā Beloved, you need the help of God to shut the gate of your financial blessings against devourers.
ā ā ā This is why being faithful in the payment of tithe is very crucial to every child of God. Read Malachi 3:8-11.
ā ā ā There are some people who must not gain access into your life when God is about to bless you. You therefore need to shut the gate.

“And when thou art come in, thou shalt shut the door upon thee and upon thy sons, and shalt pour out into all those vessels, and thou shalt set aside that which is full”.
[5] “So she went from him, and shut the door upon her and upon her sons, who brought the vessels to her; and she poured out” – 2 Kings 4 :4-5.
ā ā ā Those soldiers were shut outside the gate of their own city while the 2 spies were still in the city.
ā ā ā Beloved, there are some neighbours and even your relations who don’t wish you well that must be shut out of your life.
ā ā ā There are some in-laws, who are agents of the devil, that God himself must shut out of your marriage for peace to reign in your home.
ā ā ā All these can be achieved through prayers.
*PRAYERS*
1. Oh God my father, please shut the gate of my financial house against devourers in Jesus name.
2. I shut the gate of my life against every enemy of progress, breakthrough and success in Jesus name.
3. My father, my father, shut the gate against every evil eye monitoring the progress of my life.
4. Oh God my creator, please shut the gate of my marriage against all household enemies in Jesus name.
5. Father, shut the gate of my marital life against intruders and polluters of joy in Jesus name.
ā ā ā Pray from Psalm 35:1-7š
6. Oh Lord , in the name of Jesus, please fight against them that fight against me.
7. You are a man of war oh God, take hold of shield and buckler, and stand up for me to fight my battles.
8. Draw out also the spear, and stand on the way of those who are against me.
9. Father, trouble them that persecute my soul in Jesus name.
10. Oh God my father, let all those who seek after my soul be confused and be put to shame.
11. My father, my father, let all those that hurt me for no just cause be turned back and be brought to confusion and shame in Jesus name.
12. Let all my enemies be as chaff before the wind and let the angel of the Lord chase after them.
13. Father, let the ways of my enemies be dark and slippery and let them be lost in the wilderness of confusion.
14. Oh God my helper, let those who are waiting for my downfall be caught up in the net they have prepared for me.
*PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS*
1. For somebody out there, reading this prophetic message, I decree; the gate of your life shall be shut against every enemy of your progress in Jesus name.
2. I decree and declare, the gate of death is shut against you and yours in Jesus name.
3. To a woman out there trusting God for the fruit of the womb, I decree, the gate of barrenness of any kind is shut against you now in Jesus name.
4. The gate of wasted and fruitless efforts is hereby shut permanently against your life now in Jesus name.
5. The gate of labour loss has been shut against you in Jesus name.
6. The gates of disappointment and failure have been shut against you permanently in Jesus name.
ā ā ā I am sure the soldiers from the king didn’t ask the gate keepers if actually two men left the city before they shut the gate.
ā ā ā Otherwise they would have known they were deceived and returned to the house of Rahab.
7. I decree, the Lord shall send confusion into the camp of those enemies after your life in Jesus name.
8. I prophesy, the gate has been shut against every messenger of death sent after your life in Jesus mighty name.
9. Those who are waiting to arrest your today shall be locked up in your past in Jesus name.
10. Your enemies shall all end up in the Jordan of life in Jesus name.
11. The journey of your life shall not be truncated by the wickedness of men in Jesus name.
12. You will reach your goal and you will finish well and finish strong in Jesus mighty name.
13. I decree, those who are planning to bring you down shall unconsciously position themselves for your lifting in Jesus name.
14. I command total blindness to fall upon anyone monitoring the progress of your life for evil in Jesus mighty name.
