The Ekiti south development agenda, a group committed to making a person of Ekiti south Senatorial, clinch governorship in 2022, has described the statement credited to former governor of Ekiti state, and a present governoship aspirants on the platform of the P.D.P as wicked, selfish and insincere.
Oni had in a present statement said if the P.D.P consider the issue of zoning it could damage the chances of the party.
The Ekiti south development agenda in a statement sent to our heritage reporter by Ogundele Oluwaseun, the media aide to Comrade ldowu Afuye said the former governor was been economical with the truth in his purported statement.
Afuye said the greatest technique to winning the 2022 election in Ekiti for the people’s democratic(P.D.P) party is picking it’s flagbearer from Ekiti south Senatorial district as the area now has the sympathy of Ekiti people over its inability to take a shot at governoship since the creation of Ekiti state.
The group said it is disheartening, that the said statement came from a former govenor who has benefited from zoning in the state.
The group said although it remained undettered by the statement by Oni, and others who are trying to undermine, the interest of the Ekiti south people, they submitted that such calculated attempt are expected as the Ekiti south people’s agitation are gathering more momentum daily.
They urged the major opposition party in Ekiti state the People’s democratic party ( P.D.P) not to follow hearsay, but do their thorough findings on the Ekiti 2022 polls.
