Local Government Chairman commends Ebonyi Government on efforts put in place in correcting wrongs in Educational sector
….. Says Education to witness new and positive waves………
The current economic doldrums has stirred depth concerns in alleviating educational sector in the country, low level financial instability of many families and background nature of some to engage this younger ones to hawking or petty business instead of enrolling them in schools, in Ebonyi State has seriously dealt with educational growth and totally diminished the pursuit of academic excellence, same odds situation is very common in our various local government council while some posed to take the bull by it horns to salvage this improper trend of educational de-emphasis.
Such urge of achieving robust growth in educational sector in Ebonyi State and propelling his manifestos promises circled “People Charters of Needs” drives the most education-loving governor in the nation, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru FNIOB GGCEHF the instinct to rejig educational sector through establishments of more facilities and proper attention to teachers welfares and further plans to assist students in public schools in the payment of their NECO and WAEC fees, having observed increment of the examination fees and the resultant challenges, declared readiness to cushion the effect.
In same vein, the council chairman of Ivo local government, Hon. Chief Ajah Emmanuel Ogbonna (Confirm) back force with the governor on such magnanimity, according to him “education growing society is a society that posed to develop against all odds, and Ebonyi has a loving governor who maintained the most deepest needs of his people”
Recall, in Ivo local government area, the dedicated Council Chairman , Hon. Ajah Emmanuel follows same pattern of the governor objectives, in rejigging the educational system through marvelous achievements includes;
💥Bursaries Payment of
a)Month of December 2022, about 2000 students
b)Month of August 2023, about 2500 students
💥. WAEC and NECO FEES (1st Phase 2023) and (ongoing 2nd Phase 2024)
💥. Establishment of Education Foundation
💥. Scholarship/Full sponsorship of varsity Students
💥. Only Council to represent Ebonyi State in the “2023 Gifted Children Education Programme scholarship scheme” held at Abuja, on June 2023.
And more the Council Chairman has structurally design to accomplish in education sector in nearest future.
