MESSAGE
☆☆☆ The above two verses of the scripture agree with Jesus teaching about love when he said 👇

“Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets” – Matthew 7:12.

☆☆☆ This is another way of saying do unto others as you want others do unto you.

■ ■ ■ Let us now look at the following points for a better understanding of today’s message.

1. Don’t allow envy and ego to destroy you
☆☆☆ After Cain had killed his brother Abel out of envy, God was now asking him the whereabouts of his brother👇

And the Lord said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: Am I my brother’s keeper? – Genesis 4:9.

☆☆☆ Am I my brother’s keeper? was the response of Cain.
☆☆☆ If that same mind that Cain had about his brother is the same as yours today while relating with others, then you are making a big mistake.
☆☆☆ In actual fact, when you wrong others, you wrong yourself.
☆☆☆ When you block the way of others, you are unconsciously blocking yours.
☆☆☆ When you oppress or maltreat others, it is unto your own ruin and destruction.
■ ■ ■ For the scripture says 👇

“For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again” – Luke 6:38.

☆☆☆ Beloved, most people who realise their mistakes aren’t ready to make amends due to self ego.
☆☆☆ Most marriages hit the rocks today because of ego.
☆☆☆ Ego will not allow the man, even though he is guilty, to apologise to his wife.
☆☆☆ The wife too will be waiting for the husband to apologize. The devil will now take advantage of that to tear the marriage apart.

2. Avoid false accusation
☆☆☆ Some people are so judgemental such that they conclude on others too soon.
☆☆☆ Many take hasty decisions which they later regret when their actions are almost irredeemable.
☆☆☆ This true to life story, you are about to read, will inspire you👇
■ ■ ■ A successful Nigerian couple, based in the US, invited the Pastor of their Church for dinner in their home in California.
After the Pastor left, the couple realized their cheque had disappeared. The man said to his wife; “I think the Pastor has stolen the $25,000.00 open bank cheque that I kept here on the table of which I had the intention to give him”.

Angrily his wife exclaimed; “Hmmmm! All of them are just the same. If they are not fake, they are thieves. There is no need to invite him again, we shall from henceforth be attending another Church”.

Two Months Later, the woman met the Pastor on a certain street and was courageous enough to face him and said: “Good morning Pastor, you have surely realised that we no longer attend Church, this is because we’re angry with you. The day you ate in our house, there was a $25,000.00 open bank cheque on the table but unfortunately it disappeared while we we’re eating. You were the only person who visited our house on that day”.

The Pastor said to her, “Yes, I took the cheque and I put it in your Bible to avoid spilling the sauce on it”.

The woman got so confused and asked the Pastor to forgive her and her husband.
Back in her house, she took up the Bible and found the bank cheque which had been there for two months.
✓✓ This meant that for two months, the couple had not opened their bible.
✓✓ For two months, she and her husband had falsely accused the innocent Pastor.
✓✓ For two months, the incident had tortured them unnecessarily.

☆☆☆ Beloved, how many times do we suspect and accuse other people without reasonable proof or evidence!!
☆☆☆ How many times do you wrongly give someone a bad name?
☆☆☆ How many times do you misinterpret the actions of a brother or sister who meant well for you!!

■ ■ ■ If you think your brother has offended you, tell him.
■ ■ ■ If you are in doubt of something, ask questions.
■ ■ ■ If there is a point of disagreement between both of you, iron it out.
■ ■ ■ Do not harbour unnecessary grudge or assumptions against your brother or sister for nothing.

3. Don’t be selfish.
☆☆☆ Many people think more about themselves alone and less about others.
☆☆☆ Some people use their privileged position to gather so much wealth that even their unborn children cannot finish.
☆☆☆ Those who are conscious of their own welfare alone often lose all at the end.

President Xi Jing Ping of China said:

As a small child , I was very selfish, always grabbing the best for myself.
Slowly, everyone left me and I had no friends. I didn’t think it was my fault and I criticized others.

But my father gave me 3 sentences to help me in life.
One day, my father cooked 2 bowls of noodles and put them on the table. One had an egg on top while the other bowl had none on top.

Then he asked me to choose a bowl of noodles.
Because eggs were hard to come by in those days, I chose the bowl with egg!

I was congratulating myself on my wise choice/decision and decided to wallop the egg. To my surprise, I saw that my father’s bowl of noodles had two eggs at the bottom beneath the noodles!
With much regret, I scolded myself for being too hasty in my decision.

My father smiled and taught me to remember that what your eyes see may not be true.
He added that, If you make a habit of taking advantage of people, you will end up losing.

The next day, my father again cooked 2 bowls of noodles: one bowl with an egg on top and the other bowl with no egg on top.
Again, he asked me to choose the bowl I wanted.
This time, I felt smarter so I chose the bowl without any egg on top.

Hmmmmmm to my surprise, there was not even a single egg at the bottom of the bowl!
Again, my father smiled and said to me, My child, you must not always rely on experiences because sometimes, life can cheat you or play tricks on you.
Never be too annoyed or sad, with situations, just treat experience as you learning a lesson that cannot be gotten from any textbooks.

The third day, my father again cooked 2 bowls of noodles, one bowl with an egg on top and the other with no egg on top.
He asked me to choose the bowl I wanted.
But this time, I told my father, Dad, you choose first. You are the head of the family and you contribute the most to the family.

My father was very happy and he chose for me.
He chose the bowl with one egg on top. But as I ate my bowl of noodles, to my surprise, there were two eggs at the bottom of the bowl.

My father smiled at me with love in his eyes. He said, my child, you must remember that when you look for the good of others, good things will always naturally happen to you.
I always remember these 3 sentences of my father.
Xi Jing Ping

☆☆☆ Beloved, as we journey through life, let’s look for the good of others.
☆☆☆ We have our individual aspirations and ambitions as well as goals and strategic objectives.
☆☆☆ In all our pursuits in life, we must not be selfish; rather we should put others into consideration so that our respective joy will be full.

■ ■ ■ Let us not run purposelessly after posts, positions, titles, wealth, fame, etc.
■ ■ ■ Don’t pull down or destroy or bruise others to get whatever you want.
■ ■ ■ Let’s cultivate the attitudes that will spread goodwill, love and happiness.

■ ■ ■ Let me conclude with the following 👇
☆☆☆ Do you know that
✓✓ Your birth came through others.
✓✓ Your first bath was done by others.
✓✓ Your last bath will equally be done by others.
✓✓ Your name was given by others.
✓✓ You were educated by others.
✓✓ Your income directly or indirectly, comes through others.
✓✓ Your respect is given by others.
✓✓ Your funeral service and burial will be organized and done by others.
✓✓ Your properties and belongings will be inherited by others.

■ ■ ■ Why do we then allow our ego, our time, our career, our money and our belief to undermine the worth of others in our lives!
■ ■ ■ Indeed all our getting depends on others.
■■■ When you love others, you love yourself.
■ ■ ■ A pupolar athlete wrote a book and titled it “Am third”.
☆☆☆ God is first.
☆☆☆ Others second.
☆☆☆ Am third.
