There is tension in Lebanon over circulating reports claiming that Israeli authorities are planning to declare war on the Middle Eastern country.
It all started from a report circulated on social media on Saturday by a reporter from the Lebanese Al-Manar network, which is affiliated with the terrorist organization Hezbollah, allegedly quoting Israeli media and according to which the Israeli government will declare war with Lebanon very soon.
According to Jerusalem Post, there is no such news in Israeli media, but warnings in Arab media have caused tremendous alarm in Lebanon.
Meanwhile, Mohammad Raad, president of the Hezbollah faction in Lebanon’s parliament, warned Israel not to attack.

The renewed attacks came after at least four Hezbollah fighters were killed in IDF strikes in Beit Leaf, southern Lebanon, on Friday night. Following that, throughout Saturday evening, a considerable number of rocket sirens could be heard in northern Israel. Alarms were heard in the Arab al-Aramshe, Adamit, Zrait, and Shumra communities.
“IDF warplanes attacked two operational infrastructures where the operatives of the terrorist organization Hezbollah were located, which was in the village of Beit Leaf and a military structure in the area of the village of Deir Ams in southern Lebanon,” a military spokesperson said in response to the sequence of events.
