Sir Kenneth Ifeatu Obi, the Deputy Governorship candidate of Accord Party and the running mate to Dr Godwin Maduka has described the suspension and humiliation of Anambra Traditional Rulers by APGA led Government as a sacrilege and a dark spot in the history of Anambra State and a very sad incident which can never be erased not forgotten in a hurry.

Sir Kenneth Ifeatu Obi (Omelora) stated that the suspension and humiliation of the revered traditional Rulers
by the Apga led Government in Anambra State brought the traditional Institutions to a disrepute.

“our traditional Rulers were belittled and made to appear on television begging the Apga Government for forgiveness for an offence that is not known in law, How does visiting Abuja an offence in our law?” He queried.

*In some Communities, the people have Government certified traditional Rulers who were never elected by their Various Communities. Under Apga Government, People payed as much as #50 million to become a traditional Ruler without the Support of their various Communities.*

He averred that the Traditional Ruler of Ayamelum who has been on the throne when Governor Willie was still in Secondary school, who also fought that power should return to Anambra North was humiliated and he was alleged to have died from the heartbreak.

He therefore called on Ndi Anambra and the various Communities to reject Apga in the forthcoming governorship election.

*He assured that the incoming Government of Dr. Godwin Maduka will restore the glory and respect for the traditional Institutions.*

*Under the Accord led Government, Traditional Rulers will be given more authorities as a very critical part of the Nations Development.*
