Insecurity : Youth Leaders meet, describe Wike’s emergency meeting as Empty, watery
The National President of the Emerging Leaders Forum of Nigeria, ELFON; Amb. Godstime Samuel rising from a meeting this Friday afternoon with 32 Eminent leaders of FCT Youth associations and interest groups at Straton Hotel Abuja has described the emergency meeting called by the FCT Minister; Nyesom Wike concerning the rising spate of kidnapping and other social vices in FCT as empty and watery.
Godstime said security issues can not be sustainably addressed with out proper engagements of Youth heads in the affected areas for swift intelligence.
“What the FCT Minister and those he assembled in his emergency meeting without community Youth leaders and heads of youth fronts had was a mere theoretical jamboree that does not effect any practical reality”, Godstime expressed.
From the meeting held today by the Emerging Leaders, our correspondent confirmed that some relevant intelligence have been gathered as to some causes of insecurity and how it can be arrested in the coming days if the security agencies are ready to cooperate with relevant citizens and organisations.
