A dynamic group of industrialists in the Owo kingdom and Ondo State
has urged the Governor of Ondo State, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa,
to consider a seasoned, shrewd, and populist Lawyer/Estate Developer
as Deputy Governor.

While appreciating the commendable steps taken by
the incumbent Governor in transforming the state and his visionary
approach to the Sunshine State, the group, led by Engr Dayo Aladeniyi,
believes that Barrister Banji Alabi Esq, a seasoned lawyer, renowned
Real Estate Developer, and former Chairman of the Governing Council of
Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo, should be considered for the post.

This call comes in the wake of demands from Owo for an indigene of the
city to be selected as a form of payback to the community, aligning
with the adage that kings should be honored in their towns.

Banji
Alabi Esq is deemed fit for the role, given his qualifications and
experience. It is worth noting that his absence from the Rugipo
council chairmanship has severely affected the institution, as it
lacks leadership direction since his departure.

A well-exposed, selfless, and enriching idealist, Banji Alabi Esq, is
seen as an asset to the Governor in realizing his dreams for the
Sunshine State.

Banji Alabi has been an ally of the late Governor of
the state and an advocate for fair play, demonstrated through
well-articulated writings on justice during challenging political
times in Ondo state. For further details, one can refer to the article
online titled “Aiyedatiwa: Don’t Subvert Democracy.”

Banji Alabi is an individual who deserves celebration in Rugipo for
his enterprises, which are now gaining recognition. Born in the early
60s in Owo, Ondo State, Barrister Banji Alabi attended Government
Primary School, Owo, Imade College, Owo, for his secondary school
education, Ondo State Polytechnic Owo for his OND in Accountancy, Yaba
College of Technology for his HND in Accountancy, obtained a Bachelor
of Laws degree (LLB) from Lagos State University, and became a
Barrister at Law (BL) from the Nigerian Law School. He is also a
Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria and a member
of the prestigious Lagos Polo Club.

Before venturing into the real estate business, Banji Alabi Esq worked
with one of the largest oil companies globally, Chevron Nigeria
Limited, as a senior staff for 25 years. He played a significant role
in the oil sector of the Nigerian economy and received strategic
training from some of the finest institutions worldwide. Banji Alabi
is married to Lola Banji-Alabi, a Chartered Banker.
