Uganda Indicates Interest To Take In 2000 Afghans As Refugees

African country, Uganda has announced that it has agreed to alleged request from the US to take in 2,000 Afghan refugees who are fleeing troubled Afghanistan after the Taliban took control of the country.

Official reports seen by EWN said that Uganda will host the refugees temporarily for three months before the US government resettles them elsewhere.

The East African country has long been praised for its open refugee policy and currently hosts about 1.4 million refugees, mainly from South Sudan.
