Following the Nomination of Amachi Nwoha as the Federal Commissioner Representing South -East at the National Assembly Service Commission , The Amaigbo unity Organization has joined the well meaning Imolites and Nigerians atlarge to appreciate the Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodimma for the nomination of the Amaigbo born Politician and lawyer to represent the South East in the commission.
Speaking with newsmen in Owerri, the Convener of the group, Duke Nwaka described Nwoha appointment as best and suitable for him.
He further noted that, He was also the the Chairman Campaign council for Senator Hope Uzodinma in Nwangele during the last election that brought in Senator Hope Uzodinma as the Governor of Imo State.
It was also gathered that, The Nigerian Senate was last week, during her plenary session , received a formal request from President Muhammadu Buhari , to confirm the nomination of a former Speaker of the 6th IMHA, Rt. Hon. Amaechi Nwoha, as the Commissioner representating South -East Zone at the National Assembly Service Commission , (NASC).
According to President Muhammad Buhari, request letter to the Senate, Nwoha’s nomination complied with the provision of Section 3, sub -section 4 of the National Assembly Service Commission Act, 2014.
The letter went further to say that , Rt. Hon. Amaechi Nwoha, a refined , articulate and boardroom political strategist has remained resourceful and relevant in the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Imo political leadership discuss, despite having left elective position since 2011 as Speaker of the 6th Imo State House of Assembly.
Concluding, Duke prayed to God to guide and protect their brother in this national assignment while assuring him of their solidarity and total support.
