The immediate past Special Adviser to the Imo State Governor on Revenue Mobilisation and Capacity Building and Orlu zone Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon Chief Canicemore Nwachukwu (Ome Ogo) has described the Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma as a performer and selfless leader who has used his good office to change the narratives in the state by taking far reaching decisions and actions that have impacted positively on the state and it’s teeming citizenry.
According to the Abara, Okporo, Orlu local government Area born founder and Director General of CampHope Organization Worldwide, the Prosperity Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma has been able to deliver the proverbial democracy dividends because he has conquered greed long time ago and resolved to make a big difference in government bearing in mind that the mundane issue of material and primitive acquisition of wealth is not in his Agenda as Imo State Governor.
Nwachukwu who made the assertion penultimate week while speaking with news men in Owerri, Imo State Capital said that the Imo State Governor has shocked everybody with outstanding performance within his one year and few months in office, especially the naysayers who had deployed all manner of hate campaign to portray him in bad light, adding that the Omuma born former Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria has proved that he was adequately prepared for the job of the Governor before coming on board.
Nwachukwu said that the Governor was confronted by myriad of problems and obstacles shortly after assumption of office on January 15,2020 but was courageous enough to stand his ground and refused to succumb to pressure associated with the problems and went ahead to perform without being distracted.
According to Nwachukwu, the issue of Covid -19 pandemic with its disastrous socioeconomic consequences were the first obstacles the Governor surmounted because of his dexterity and acumen which manifested through proactive measures taken by him to contain the scourge and reduce the number of deaths and economic hemorrhage to the barest minimum.
He also said that whilst the state and indeed the entire nation were recovering from the Covid 19 menace, the social upheaval of ENDSARS riots broke out and spread like wild fire across the federation with its harsh consequences which equally affected the state but was timely and properly handled by the Governor with utmost maturity and responsibility.The already complicated situation by the ENDSARS riots and Covid 19 pandemic according to him was climaxed to a raging crisis of insecurity that engulfed the Country and Southeast which unfortunately took a worsened dimension in Imo State which he said was equally managed well by Governor Hope Uzodimma with wisdom and tact.
The CampHope Czar and core loyalist of the Imo State Governor observed that the 3R Shared Prosperity government under Senator Hope Uzodimma has surmounted all barricades and roadblocks placed on the way to destabilize and distract him and commended Senator Uzodimma for rising to the occasion to address the scourge of insecurity that was on verge of crippling the economy of the state, especially the hospitality and entertainment industry which Owerri is popularly known for, across the Country and beyond.
On the general performance of Governor, Nwachukwu reiterated that Senator Hope Uzodimma has performed excellently and deserves first class grade judging by the massive and solid road infrastructure he has bequeathed the state within one year and few months in office. He said that it’s selflessness and genuine love for the people that would have made a leader to embark on such landmark and quality road projects which were assigned to a world class German construction firm like Cranenburg.
Nwachukwu stressed that the Imo Governor apart from massive delivery of solid road projects in the state has also revived the moribund Imo State University Teaching Hospital, Orlu which within his one year and some months in office was able to graduate medical students, something he regretted could not take place in the institution over a decade ago.
Chief Nwachukwu called on Imolites to continue to support the Governor who is on genuine and committed mission to serve God and humanity with all honesty and sincerity of purpose,reiterating that the Governor is very magnanimous and benevolent to a fault, such that he had over years acquire so much wealth which he deployed to transform lives and empower others instead investing property and mundane things. He reassured Imo Citizens that the Governor’s Shared prosperity mantra is real and genuine which already has started yielding fruit with massive empowerment currently going on across the state to tackle the scourge of poverty and unemployment.
Nwachukwu commended the Governor for doing everything positively and constructively possible to restore the security of the state and urged him not to relent in his efforts to sustain the tempo of providing the state with purposeful and resultant leadership .
