Man Sentenced To 40 Years In Prison For Slaughtering Girlfriend With Axe
A man has been sentenced to 40 years in prison for slaughtering his girlfriend with an axe over cheating.
The convict, Naftali Kinuthia, was arraigned before a court in Eldoret, the capital city of Uasin Gishu County in Kenya’s Rift Valley region, where he was sentenced.
According to reports, Kinuthia had earlier accused his girlfriend, Ivy Wangeci of cheating in him with another man; an argument broke out which led to him slaughtering her with an axe.
Stonix News learnt that the deceased was a first-year student of medicine at Moi University in Kenya.
It was declared by Justice Reuben Githinji that Kinuthia deliberately orchestrated the gruesome murder of Wangeci by acquiring an axe for that specific intent.
The judge also emphasized that the prosecution had unequivocally demonstrated that Kinuthia had a premeditated intention to tragically terminate her life.
The judge’s ruling was delivered virtually while the convict, detained at Eldoret GK prison, monitored the proceedings remotely.
