Exodus 13:19 KJV.
“And Moses took the bones of Joseph with him: for he had straitly sworn the children of Israel, saying, God will surely visit you; and ye shall carry up my bones away hence with you”.
☆☆☆ Joseph had strictly put the children of Israel on oath to carry along with them his bones whenever God would be taking them out of the land of captivity in Egypt.
_”And Joseph took an oath of the children of Israel, saying, God will surely visit you, and ye shall carry up my bones from hence” – Genesis 50:25._
☆☆☆ Joseph had a very strong faith that God would surely visit the children of Israel and moved them out of captivity.
☆☆☆ When the time came for the children of Israel to step out of captivity, they were busy packing cattle, jewels, gold but Moses was busy arranging the bones of Joseph to be taken along with them.
☆☆☆ The Egyptians would not tolerate their political leader to be buried in a foreign land but Joseph had placed his brethren on oath.
☆☆☆ Joseph was the main link between the children of Israel and the land of captivity in Egypt.
☆☆☆ Joseph knew the implication of his bones remaining in Egypt.
☆☆☆ Even Jacob, their father, was not buried in the land of captivity.
☆☆☆ Joseph left Egypt for the land of Canaan to bury his father and later returned to Egypt.
“For his sons carried him into the land of Canaan, and buried him in the cave of the field of Machpelah, which Abraham bought with the field for a possession of a buryingplace of Ephron the Hittite, before Mamre”.
[14] “And Joseph returned into Egypt, he, and his brethren, and all that went up with him to bury his father, after he had buried his father” – Genesis 50:13-14.
☆☆☆ Today, Israel may look small when compared to other bigger nations of the world but no nation can run them down.
☆☆☆ Other powerful nations of the world are even afraid of Israel.
☆☆☆ Beloved, have you left the land of captivity and your link still remains there?
☆☆☆ Are you born again and your parents/relations still living in the bondage of sin?
☆☆☆ Have you left smoking but still have a link with smokers?
☆☆☆ Have you stopped drinking alcohol or strong drinks but still buy for others?
☆☆☆ Have you left fornication/adultery but still have a strong link there?
☆☆☆ Joseph believed that God would one day visit his people and return them to their land.
☆☆☆ They kept to this faith and hundreds of years later, this was fulfilled.
☆☆☆ Beloved, it does not matter how long you have been waiting, those who wait on God can never be disappointed.
☆☆☆ Keep your faith aglow in him and he will manifest himself when you least expect.
☆☆☆ Most importantly, cut away from every link that can disconnect you from God.
☆☆☆ Delay is never a denial, the promise may delay but wait for it because it will surely come to pass.
“For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry”- Habakkuk 2:3.
*PRAYERS.*
1. Oh God my father, break me away from every force connecting me with my evil past.
2. I cut off every link attaching me to the negative past of my life.
3. Father, from today; delete from me those evil attachments introducing backwardness into my life.
4. The “bone of my Joseph” shall not remain in captivity in Jesus name.
5. In the name of Jesus, I receive grace to break away from every invitation to return to captivity.
6. Father, in the name of Jesus, end every form of delay in my life today.
7. Oh God my father, make my life an epistle through which people shall come to the knowledge of salvation in Jesus name.
8. Father, remove from my life any friend who will take me back to Egypt.
9. Oh God my father, don’t allow my root to remain in captivity in Jesus name.
10. My miracles, my testimonies shall no longer suffer delay in Jesus name.
*PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS:*
■■■ I decree, every “bone of your Joseph” in captivity shall be liberated today in Jesus name.
■■■ I decree, every link with your evil past shall be broken today in Jesus name.
■■■ I command every evil force drawing you back to captivity to die now in Jesus name.
■■■ I prophesy, the Lord is taking you out of the land of captivity to your promised land today in Jesus name.
■■■ Every force of oppression upon your life is broken today in Jesus name.
■■■ I prophesy, your glory, star and virtue captured by the enemy shall be liberated today in Jesus name.
■■■ You will not die on the way to your “promised land” in Jesus name.
■■■ You will reach your goal in Jesus mighty name.
