Plot to Blackmail Imo PDP Guber Candidate, Anyanwu by Mischief Makers Uncovered
There is an ongoing plot to blackmail the Governorship candidate and National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, Senator Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu by those involved in anti party activities against PDP during the last Governorship election in the state.
The same group of individuals created and circulated malicious, misleading and fake video on social media at the eve of the Governorship election claiming that Senator Anyanwu and his Deputy, Rt Hon Jones Onyereri had withdrawn from the race.
When such seditious video could not achieve their criminal objectives, the same disgruntled elements regrouped and fabricated another falsehood that the Governorship candidate of our party, Senator Anyanwu purportedly collected N2.5 billion from PDP Governors but refused to disburse the money. This plot also failed making them to be furious that all their efforts to bring down our candidate were futile.
It is worthy to note that the same group of desperate position seekers did everything to remove Senator Anyanwu as National Secretary of PDP, but when it was not possible, they became petition writers, and resorted to pettiness, childishness and started brandishing all manner of fake news as their only clueless weapon.
Without provocation, the same group of selfish and greedy politicians who suddenly turned against our party because they could not secure the ticket of PDP for the 2023 Governorship poll are currently deploying all propaganda machineries to deceive and misguide the public, all in a bid to blackmail our candidate.
While Senator Anyanwu has maintained a dignified silence to enable him recover his stolen mandate, the same group of mischief makers are going about spreading and peddling falsehood simply to distract him from both recovering the mandate and executing his functions as PDP National Secretary.
Credible information available to us indicates that these disgruntled elements are doing so to divert attention of our party members against their involvement in anti-party activities during the last Governorship election after they were allegedly induced with N3 billion by one of the Governorship candidates from Orlu zone to work against PDP and Owerri zone. It was further gathered that reason they are resorting to this cybercrime against Senator Anyanwu is to prevent PDP from sanctioning them accordingly in line with the provisions of the party constitution.
The public is enjoined to disregard and ignore in its entirety such blackmails against our candidate, Senator Anyanwu any moment they come across it on the media. All these are evidence of desperation to hold onto power.
