2 Kings 4:38-41 KJV
“And Elisha came again to Gilgal: and there was a dearth in the land; and the sons of the prophets were sitting before him: and he said unto his servant, Set on the great pot, and seethe pottage for the sons of the prophets”.
[39] “And one went out into the field to gather herbs, and found a wild vine, and gathered thereof wild gourds his lap full, and came and shred them into the pot of pottage: for they knew them not”.
[40] “So they poured out for the men to eat. And it came to pass, as they were eating of the pottage, that they cried out, and said, O thou man of God, there is death in the pot. And they could not eat thereof”.
[41] “But he said, Then bring meal. And he cast it into the pot; and he said, Pour out for the people, that they may eat. And there was no harm in the pot”.
*MESSAGE:*
☆☆☆ This was the story of how the sons of the prophets, servants of Elisha, were hungry after a training exercise.
☆☆☆ Elisha had asked one of the servants to prepare food for them.
☆☆☆ Elisha might have trusted the servant he asked to prepare food for others, as his best cook.
☆☆☆ The servant too would have wanted to do his best to satisfy his colleagues.
☆☆☆ He went to the bush to gather leaves but innocently gathered a wrong leaf.
☆☆☆ At the point of eating, it was discovered there was death in the pot.
☆☆☆ The anointing of God upon the life of Elisha turned death in the pot to life in the pot.
☆☆☆ We are not discussing “death in the pot” today but the Holy Spirit wants to teach us something different.
☆☆☆ The servant who prepared the meal made an innocent mistake which resulted into “death in the pot”.
☆☆☆ His mistake was converted to a miracle.
☆☆☆ A mistake is what you missed to take (mis-take)
*3 lessons to learn quickly from this story:*
*(1) MISTAKES ARE LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES*
☆☆☆ The servant would have learnt from his mistake because we never read he made such a mistake again.
☆☆☆ If we don’t learn from our mistakes, there is the possibility of repeating it again and again.

☆☆☆ A young cashier in the bank asked her CEO one day, “sir I want to be successful as you, what do I do”.
☆☆☆ The CEO replied, “right decisions”.
☆☆☆ The lady asked again, “how do I learn to make right decisions”.
☆☆☆ The boss replied, “Experience”.
☆☆☆ The lady still confused asked, “how do I get experience”.
☆☆☆ Finally the CEO thundered, “Bad decisions”.
☆☆☆ Beloved, we gain experience from bad decisions to be able to take right decisions.
*(2) MISTAKES ARE OCCASIONS FOR GOD TO WORK OUT THE GOOD IN US.*
☆☆☆ Looking back at our focal scriptures for today, no one remembered the teachings of Elisha to the sons of the prophet but we are reading about the miracle today.
☆☆☆ One can now say, thank God the servant made that mistake because it gave birth to one of Elisha’s greatest miracles.
☆☆☆ There are certain occurrences in your life that you may consider as mistakes but they are set ups for a divine promotion.
*(3) MISTAKES ALLOW GOD TO GAIN THE GLORY.*
☆☆☆ No one after that meal complained of stomach ache but they were all talking about the miracle of Elisha.
☆☆☆ That was how God turned a poisonous meal to a meal of life.
☆☆☆ God can still turn your mis-takes to your takes.
☆☆☆ He can convert your blunders to blessings.
☆☆☆ There are certain mistakes we make, if they haven’t turned out as mistakes, we would have claimed the testimonies thereafter as our success.

*PRAYERS*
1. Oh God my father, convert all my mistakes to a ladder for my rising to stardom in Jesus mighty name.
2. Father, every poison that has been introduced into my body through food, neutralize today by the blood of Jesus in Jesus name.
3. Oh God my creator, please convert all my mistakes to work in my favour in Jesus name.
4. Father, according to Psalm 11:3, visit the foundation of my life and repair every faulty beginning in Jesus name.
5. Oh God my creator, straighten all my crooked ways in Jesus name.
6. According to Matthew 13:30, Father, destroy today every evil seed that have been growing up with me from the beginning of my life in Jesus name.
7. I uproot by fire, every demonic seed planted by the enemy into my life.
8. Father, delete from my life today whatsoever you have not permitted in my life in Jesus name.
9. I reject and cancel every name the Lord has not called me but hitherto manifesting in my life.
10. According to Deuteronomy 1:6, Oh God my father, I have been too long on this same level of downturn in life, please move me forward to my next level of greatness in Jesus name.
11. I break away from every force of limitation and stagnation in my life in Jesus name.
12. According to Exodus 8: 8-10, Father, I reject and fight against every power that postpones miracles at the point of success in Jesus name.
13. Father, put an end to the spirit of failure at the verge of success in my life in Jesus name.
14. Oh God my creator, in the name of Jesus, disgrace from my life every power trying to keep me stagnated in affliction and sorrow.
15. I free myself, my life and my business from the hold of task masters in Jesus name.
*PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS:*
â– â– â– I pray for you today and I prophesy, your mistakes shall become a divine set up for your lifting in Jesus name.
â– â– â– I decree and declare, the God of heaven shall convert your MIS-TAKES to become your TAKES in Jesus mighty name.
â– â– â– Once again, I decree, every force of delay blocking your miracles shall be uprooted today in Jesus name.
â– â– â– I prophesy, what men thought would mark your downfall shall become the foundation for your rising in Jesus name.
â– â– â– If there has been any evil planted in the foundation of your life, the Lord shall uproot same today in Jesus name.
â– â– â– I prophesy, that incidence that is currently bringing sorrow into your life shall turn to your fountain of joy and blessings in Jesus name.
â– â– â– Your downturn shall become the beginning of your upturn in Jesus name.
â– â– â– To somebody out there, reading this prayer, I prophesy, God is changing your story for good in Jesus name.
â– â– â– A miracle is coming your way that will shock those who have hitherto been mocking you.
â– â– â– Your story will end in glory.
â– â– â– Your pains shall the Lord turn to your gains in Jesus name.
â– â– â– You are blessed in Jesus mighty name.
