In response to the Court of Appeal’s ruling that removed him from office on Sunday, Muftwang, conveyed through his Director of Press and Public Affairs, Gyang Bere, characterized the judgment as a temporary setback incapable of deterring his commitment to steering the state toward unity, peace, and advancement.

He conveyed his directive to his legal team to file an appeal at the Supreme Court, expressing unwavering confidence that the resounding mandate given to him by the people of Plateau State would be reinstated.

The Appeal Court, in its Sunday judgment delivered in Abuja, directed the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to issue a Certificate of Return to the APC candidate, Nentawe Goshwe, overturning the Tribunal’s affirmation of Governor Muftwang’s election.

The court’s ruling was based on the premise that Muftwang was not validly nominated by the PDP for the election.
