*It was an emotion laden moment as tears of Joy flowed unabated when Ebonyi Ambassadors Movement awarded scholarship to Master Ogai Chidiebube, an Ebonyian and a pupil of Gladnuel International School off Commissioners Quaters Ifite Awka, Anambra State and made a cash donation to his Indigent mother of five children.*
Recall that few weeks ago, A delegation of Ebonyi Ambassadors Movement led by
Amb Israel Ezeka,
acting on the instruction of the National President, Amb Timothy Nwachukwu visited Mrs Ogai for a fact finding mission over her pitiable state.
The delegation reported that the woman and her husband who is married to a bricklayer are Ebonyians and she is a mother of five children,the eldest child is in primary 2, while the second child is in primary one and the three others were not enrolled in school, she manages a makeshift shop where she sells food items.
Acting on that report, spirited members of Ebonyi Ambassadors Movement moved into action to fulfil one of the core objectives of the EBAM which is Educational and entrepreneurship support for Ebonyians.
*The group led by Amb Timothy Nwachukwu, Hon. Ugboh Moses, Amb Orji Micheal among others visited the woman, her husband and her son and made a cash donation to the Indigent woman. The group also meet with Mrs Aguocha the Proprietress of the school attended by master ogai chidiebube and notified her that Ebonyi Ambassadors Movement shall take up the sponsorship of the child from Primary to University level after which they collected the details of the proprietress as the group insisted that they would be paying directly to the school account to ensure that the scholarship fund would not be diverted for other use.*
The highly elated Mrs Ogai who could not hide her tears of joy expressed deep appreciation to Ebonyi Ambassadors Movement and promised to make judicious use of the cash that was donated to her.
The group further counselled the couple on the need for family planning and importance of ensuring that their children received the best of Education.
