*Ebonyi Ambassadors Movement has showered encomiums on Chief Mrs Rachel Umahi, Chief Mrs Rosemary Nwakaego Emmanuel, Hon. Mrs Ogbuewu,Hon. Mrs Ann Aligwe, Barr. Mrs Chioma Nweze, SINACH and all Ebonyi Women across the globe on the occasion of international Women’s day.*

In a press statement by the National President, Amb Timothy Nwachukwu and The Ebonyi State Co-ordinator, Amb. Comr. Blessed Moses Ugbala, The group stated that the role of women as home and nation’s builders cannot be overemphasize, noting that Ebonyi Women deserves to be Celebrated for their painstaking efforts in building the Agrarian State and Nation at large.

*”The woman performs the role of wife, partner, organizer, administrator, director, re-creator, disburser, economist, mother, disciplinarian, teacher, health officer, artist and queen in the family at the same time”,*

“The progress of the nation depends on the manner the mothers bring up their children. If the mothers are educated, the whole society will progress”,

“Napoleon said: Give me good mothers and I will give you a good nation.”

“The main responsibility of a woman is to preserve the human race. As a mother, her position is unique. She brings up the children with extreme care,”

“The first school of a child is the lap of his mother. It is quite true that great man had great mothers.” The group opined.

Ebonyi Ambassadors Movement expressed appreciation to the gospel minstrel Sinach and other Ebonyi women whose consistency and perseverance has continued to put Ebonyi State on the global map.

Ebonyi Ambassadors Movement further called for the implementation and strengthening of already existing legislative enactment to provide more opportunities for women participation in politics and Governance.

The group further called for stringent measures against perpetrators of violence acts against women and the girl child while calling for more support and funding towards the Education, mentorship and advancement of the Ebonyi girl child and women at large.
