Anambra Youths Empowered at Ora Nwezue Aku 2021

Awka – Anambra state capital was agog on Friday 19th of February 2021 as hundreds of Anambra Youth were empowered at a summit tagged ‘ORA NWEZUE AKU 2021: ACCESS TO BUSINESS FUNDING’, held at ASUBEB complex, organised by the Nigerian Youth Chamber of Commerce.

The epoch-making summit facilitated by His Youthfulness, Comr. Frank Maduka (JP), Leader, Forum of Anambra Youth Organizations and convened by Arinze Benjamin Omenwa, Anambra State Director of the Nigerian Youth Chamber of Commerce (NYCC) was sponsored by Engr. Johnbosco Onunkwo, in his usual tradition of demonstrating leadership through the gifting of his limited resources to the less privileged and the poor, in order to eradicate poverty through equitable distribution of wealth.

The epoch-making summit themed “Ora Nwezue Aku 2021: Access to Business Funding” gave a huge number of select Anambra youths the opportunity to directly interphase with Engr. Johnbosco Onunkwo, the sponsor of the programme. Various speakers including the physically challenged shared a singular opinion which all pointed to lack of capital as the bane of their business development.

His Youthfulness, Comr. Frank Maduka, the facilitator of the programme and the leader of the Forum of Anambra Youth Organizations was emphatic that Anambra State is known for human industry, commerce, noting that Anambra youths are hardworking. He said that the business development acumen of most Anambra youths were not in doubt, as commerce and industry are inborn traits synonymous with the Igbo, especially the Anambrarian. However, many business dreams of young entrepreneurs had gone with the wind because there was no provision for/access to funds which would enable small and medium scale enterprises to grow and develop tremendously.

State Manager and Director, Small and Medium Enterprise development agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN),

The Director, Development Finance office, Central Bank of Nigeria,

Manager Nirsal Microfinance Bank, Awka branch.
