The Imo state Director General of consumer protection commission Hon. Mrs Obioma Okafor, within the week gave a clear warning to those who are in the practice of selling fake and expired product in the state to stop it or face the commission prosecutions.
Hon. Mrs Obioma Okafor, Director General Imo State Consumer Protection Commission gave this warning while speaking to newsmen in Owerri in her office, last week Friday, 12th February 2021.
According to her, the eagle eyes of Imo State CPC is everywhere, adding that it is a grevious offence to engage in any sharp business practices or shortchange the consumers in any form.
She called on Nigerians expecially Imolites to join the shared prosperity government of Gov. Hope Uzodinma in the fight against fake products and unscrupulous business practices in the State by giving useful information to men of the agency in order to crack down the enemies of our society.
She noted that the consumer is a King and therefore their interest must be adequately protected and respected.
Finally, the workaholic Director General encouraged imolites to always visit Imo State CPC at Area B New Owerri opposite ISOPADEC office.
