1. Script writing.
Course Overview:
Through our online and offline classes, you will discover the basic underlying pillars of all great stories, and learn how to take what you have learned and apply it to the development of your own film or TV script.
You will immerse yourself in exemplary scripts from around the world, dissecting their structures, story format, character development and the magic that made them resonate with audiences.
2. Producing for Success.
Course Overview:
Learn the basic international best practice and the principles of producing, line producing and production management.
You will learn how to produce for specific market outcomes, and gain an understanding of risks involved in TV and film production, how to work with budgets and schedules and how to ensure the production lines up with creative and technical expectations as well as investment and spend.
3. The Director’s Toolkit.
Course Overview:
A film director is the creative force behind a production, controlling a film’s artistic and dramatic aspects, such as script interpretation, the performance of actors, the positioning of cameras, and the use of lighting.
Learn the basic process of bringing a script to life, and gain an understanding of the director’s process, the equipment involved on set and in post-production. You will come to gain an appreciation of the character and holistic skills and knowledge required to work closely with scriptwriters, cinematographers, actors, the sound and lighting crew, and everyone else that has a role on set, and behind the scenes.
4. Acting for Screen
Course Overview:
Learn the basic techniques of working in front of a camera, how to interpret a script and master character emotions and how to use voice techniques for character interpretation.
You will get to experience what it feels like to work on a real set, and adapt to the technology and supporting teams around you.
5. Cinematography, Lighting and Post Production
Course Overview:
Learn the basic cinematic and lighting technicalities of filmmaking, how to bring Director’s vision to life, how to master the art of visual storytelling and scene composition, how to choose a camera, style and lens that best serves the story, as well as how to put a finishing touch to the production.
ACADEMIC SCHEDULE:
1. Our classes holds three (3) times a week (2 online classes and 1 offline class) for a period of five (5) weeks.
2. Registration ends on 17th of February 2021 and classes will begin on the 20th of February 2021.
3. At the end of 5 weeks training, to graduate and receive a Certificate of Completion, students will produce a thriller short film.
