Just In : NNPCL Speaks On ‘Plan To Increase Petrol Pump Prices’
The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited has denied any plans to raise the pump prices for Premium Motor Spirit, commonly known as petrol.
A statement released on Friday, the company’s management clarified that this information is contrary to speculations.
The statement addressed NNPC Retail’s valued customers, assuring them that there are no intentions to raise the prices of PMS as widely rumored. NNPC Limited emphasized that their retail stations offer top-quality products at the most competitive prices.
Since President Bola Tinubu took office on May 29 and announced the removal of the fuel subsidy, NNPC has raised its prices at least twice, resulting in a price now three times higher than before, at just under N200 per litre.
