A new development has emerged in the ongoing feud between Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki and his deputy, Mr. Philip Shuaibu, as the Edo State Government has relocated the deputy governor’s office to No. 7 Dennis Osadebey Avenue, in close proximity to the Government House.

Mr. Chris Nehikhare, the Edo State Commissioner of Information, confirmed this relocation to Channels Television, asserting that the deputy governor’s new office remains within the Government House area, as the building is owned by the state government.

Previously, the building served as the state public procurement office, which was inaugurated by former Governor Senator Adams Oshiomhole.

A source close to the deputy governor had previously informed Channels Television that the deputy governor’s office had not received official notification of the relocation by the state government.

This development occurred in the aftermath of Mr. Shuaibu’s walkout during a government-organized event, where his aides were reportedly compelled to leave the venue.
