Just In : Tinubu appoints 32-year-old as new Chief Executive Officer of NASENI
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Friday had approved with immediate effect the appointment of 32-year-old Khalil Suleiman Halilu as the new Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI).
This was disclosed in a press statement issued by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale and made available to newsmen.
He noted that Khalil Suleiman Halilu appointment will serve for an initial term of five years in accordance with the relevant sections of the NASENI Act, 2014.
President Tinubu expressed the optimism that Mr. Halilu, 32, is expected to bring his significant experience as an innovator and technology expert to bear in this important new national assignment being given to him by the Federal government.
This recent appointment of Mr. President has thereby terminated the tenure of Dr. Bashir Gwandu as EVC/CEO of NASENI as contained in the press statement.
The statement further directs that Mr. Halilu appointment is with immediate effect to enable him bring his wealth of experience and expertise to bear in the current administration.
To many who are clamouring for the inclusion youths in governance, this could be a cheering news to them that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is leaving no stone unturned in injecting young people into his government.
