The incessant threat to peaceful habitation of ivo indigenes, businessmen and investors is alarming and at mercy of uncertain activities of kidnappings, hellish atmosphere and igniting tensions among the people amidst ransome demand. Insecurities challenges in the council has metamorphosed into a highly inflammable furnace of present conditions and requires divine intervention to wade off all shackles of it existence.
Recounting several kidnappings in recent time that has rock the community with depths sorrows and grief created fear and anxiety of travelling outside the council, the kidnapping and butchering of one Mr. Arinse (Keke driver), the killing of INEC officer and abduction of his wife, the butchering of Mr. Okafor, kidnapping and rescued of Amonye woman (farmer) Mrs Onachukwu Nkechinyere,that of Afikpo Road where six persons was abducted and most recent the abduction of Ngwogwo village chairman who was graciously rescued yesterday 28th August, 2023 after a fierce gun duel between the Anti-kidnapping squad, local Vigilante and kidnappers at route between Lonkpanta and Ishiagu Community, where one was shot dead, four escaped with severe injuries.

Chief Ajah Emmanuel Ogbonna (Confirm) executive chairman, ivo Local government area has been timely as he singlehandedly through the collaboration of men of security agencies instilled calmness in the community by strategical arrest of this perpetrators in their hideout in various locations aftermath their evil operations including places like Enugu State, Portharcourt, Abia State, Lagos State, Imo State and bushes, in various occasions where their deadly kingpin (Alhaji) was always arrested and currently in custody.
Consequently, the security agencies through the divine intervention by the chairman are working round the clock to bring and prosecute the remaining evil abductors who dwells in causing menace in the society.
