Just In : Government Orders Closure Of Night Clubs, Give Reasons (DETAILS)
Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, the Governor of Gombe State, has issued an immediate order for the closure of all nightclubs in the state.
According to a statement released by the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, this action stems from numerous complaints from the public regarding the recurring immoral, criminal activities, and security breaches occurring within these nightclubs.
Consequently, Governor Yahaya has instructed the Nigeria Police, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), and the ‘Operation Hattara’ to deploy their personnel to enforce the directive and ensure strict adherence.
The affected establishments include the following nightclubs: “Jami’a Gidan Wanka” situated on Mile 3 Yola Road, Gombe; “White House Theatre (Babban Gida)” located at New Mile 3 Yola Road, Gombe; “Gidan Lokaci General Merchant” positioned on Mile 3 Reservoir Road, Gombe; and “Farin Gida Entertainment II” situated on Kalshingi Road, Wuro Karal, Gombe.
Also encompassed by this order are “Gidan Zamani Entertainment New Mile 3, Yola Road, Tumfure, Gombe”; “Albarka Entertainment” found near Hara Form on Wuro Karal Bypass, Gombe; and “Tauraren Wash” located at Trailer Park, Bauchi Road, Gombe.
Furthermore, all nightclubs in Kuri town, as well as those in Lubo and Kurba villages of Yamaltu/Deba LGA, along with establishments in Bajoga town of Funakaye Local Government Area, are also affected by this closure.
