President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has officially decorated the newly appointed Service Chiefs, marking the commencement of their tenure as the countryās top defense officers.
The ceremony took place at the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa and was witnessed by the Vice President, Senator Kassim Shetimma, top government officials, and the officersā family members.
The Service Chiefsā appointments were announced on June 19 and subsequently underwent thorough screening by the National Assembly. Having successfully passed this legislative scrutiny, they now assume their roles as the primary architects of Nigeriaās defense and security strategies.
As the Commander-in-Chief, President Tinubu presented the new Service Chiefs with their higher office insignia, symbolizing the weight of the responsibilities they now shoulder.
