The workaholic chairman of Ivo local government area, Hon. Chief Ajah Emmanuel Ogbonna (Confirm) has tasked the people of “Amonye” in Ishiagu community, extraction of the Council to deploy strong and peaceful synergy with investors to eventualise even development and experience wealthy growth in the area.
During an interactive session with the Stalkholders of Amonye at the Council headquarter on 22nd Day of July, 2023, the chairman made his position and interests known to all and sundry, which is to standardise and initiate accommodating link between the Community, landlords, and investors that will benefits all and stand a taste of time, while noting the will of Ebonyi State government under the pragmatic dispositions of His Excellency, Rt Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, the governor, to see a rapid growth and massive developments that will break the shell of unemployment among youths in the state.
Some of the Stalkholders who spoke on non compliance and difficulties in having a strong agreement with the investors especially Mr. Henry (the CEO of Greenfield Mining Company Nig Ltd) due to his dubious intentions for their people since having a consent licence to mines in their land without proper operating permission from the land owners and/or neglect to consult them for a binding agreement to ensuring free flow operations, seek the council chairman for their decision to settle the matter in the law Court.
Thus, the chairman “Urged the Stalkholders and people of Amonye, the severity and delay tactics they may venture into, if not properly addressed among themselves and his deepen wishes for them to have more than one mining industry in the area, as more industry more development and growth.
Meanwhile, tasked all the Stalkholders to go on final dialogue among themselves, document and bring their resolution to enable the state government contribute it policies that will favour the community in general.
