How to recognise a fake admission – JAMB reveals
The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has revealed how students can identify an authentic admission from the body.
According to the examination body, any admission not captured in its Central Admission Processing System (CAPS) is illegal, null, and void.
DAILY GIST 247 reports that the Registrar of JAMB, Prof Ishaq Oloyede, made this disclosure while speaking during the 3rd matriculation ceremony of the Thomas Adewumi University (TAU) Oko, Irepodun Local Government Area of Kwara State.
The JAMB boss explained any admission done outside of the CAP, regardless of the institution, is fake.
Oloyede, who was represented by an Assistant Director of JAMB, Mr. Ganiyu Yahaya, stated that “For any admission into tertiary institutions, it has to be done through CAPS, which is on the JAMB portal.
“Any admission outside the CAPS, irrespective of the institution, is illegal. And I think this point is very important.”
This platform reports that this clarification follows a recent controversy between the examination body and one Mmesoma Ejikeme
