10th National Assembly: Omeogo inaugurated, promises fair representation
The good people of Orlu, Orsu and Oru East Federal Constituency are happy that Hon. High Chief Canice Moore Chukwugozie Nwachukwu popularly called Omeogo, Ogbaturuenyi Na Orlu, has been successfully inaugurated as Member of the 10th National Assembly.
Omeogo took the Oath of Office on Tuesday as a Member of the House of Representatives to represent Orlu, Orsu and Oru East Federal Constituency, having been elected under the political platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, under the Renewed Hope of President Ahmed Bola Tinubu.
The people numbering over 500 were seen in the Premises of National Assembly, Abuja and reception venue chanting and dancing in happiness of Omeogo’s inauguration, believing that he is going to deliver on promise to make them proud.
In his speech immediately after the swearing – in, Omeogo who was filled with joy, thanked God and his Constituents for making it possible to be a Member of National Assembly.
Omeogo affirmed that his four years in office will be dedicated in rendering effective representation as people oriented projects will be put in place for the benefit of all persons.
He stated that he would put in his best to meet his legislative duties, promising not to disappoint his people while discharging his constitutionally assigned functions.
Omeogo pointed out that lawmaking, representation, oversight and a host of others are going to be indulged effectively and efficiently, asking the people to continue to pray for him to enable him get a better National Assembly Committee position to enhance his quality representation.
Omeogo excitedly recalled that during the flag off of his campaign he told the people that he promised to work with the Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodimma, towards the development of Imo State and Orlu, Orsu and Oru East Federal Constituency in particular.
Omeogo was seen pleading with his Constituents to show him much love by supporting Governor Hope Uzodimma who he referred to as his elder brother and boss to enable him emerge victoriously at the November 11 2023 guber election in Imo State.
The occasion was well attended by men and women of timbers and calibers, notable among them was the Imo state Chairman of Traditional Rulers, His Majesty EZE (DR) E.C. OKEKE, EZEUDO II AMAIFEKE, who described Omeogo’s Victory as divine arrangement by God. Together with other important Traditional Rulers in Imo, which include, His Imperial Majesty EZE T.A.OBIEFULE The OKIADURUI,OKIRURU OF UMUDIOKA, prayed for God wisdom and strength to enable Omeogo discharge his legislative duties.
Speaking also the Honourable Commissioner for justice and attorney general of Imo state, Barrister C.O.C Akaolisa, said Omeogo victory , was a victory for all and he has no doubt in him that Omeogo, will deliver dividends of democracy to their Federal Constituencies. According to him, Omeogo had been tested and trusted.
The high point of the occasion, was the colourful appearances of CampHope Organization worldwide members that cut cross the 27 LGA of Imo state, in solidarity support to their General Overseer, words of appreciations to God and governor Hope Uzodimma and given of excellence award by CampHope Organization worldwide Cordinators and members in appreciation for what Omeogo did to them.
Obviously, the National Assembly is the legislative arm of government, the law making body of Nigeria which comprises of House of Senate and House of Representatives.
