Just In : Ivo Local government Chairman Sponsors Children for FG programs in Abuja (DETAILS)
As Parts of his core purpose to revamp and rejig the educational sector and drive the individual index performance of academic excellence in ivo council area, primarily by considering the elementary stages of growth in learning to curriculum development’s.
The national award winner of Infrastructural Developments and Humanitarian services, executive Chairman of Ivo local government area, Hon. Chief Ajah Emmanual Ogbonnaya (Confirm), Dike 1 of Ishiagu, has accelerated the gear brain of his effective service delivery and swung the pendulum to educational development in the council area.
It was on this priority that the need to sponsor ivo pupils to the 2023 Gifted Children Education program arises and graciously, he became the only chairman among others in the 13 LGA of Ebonyi State to fully sponsored his pupils to represent and make the state proud specially, as part of the governor objectives, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, to rebuild the educational system in the state.
Thus, the selection processes touches all the elementary six (6) primary schools in the local government area, hence gifted and healthy competition among the children was set with random questions and the best eight (8) was selected for the grand finale screening at “Federal Government Girls College, P.M.B 2, bwari, Abuja” on the 10th June, 2023.
Eight (8) Participants from Ebonyi state and of Ivo indigenes includes:

- Ajah Ebenezer
- Uchechukwu Desmond
- Chukwuemeka sopuruchi
- Okoro Peter chidiebube
- Makwe Amarachi
- Divine Uchechukwu
- Emenike Precious
Preceding benefits if criteria is meant before the panel for selection includes but not limited to:
1. Full sponsorship by the federal government in to high ranked secondary school in the federation
2. Full sponsorship of students to tertiary institutions at abroad and other extra curriculum activities.
Recall some educational achievements of the national award winning chairman Hon. Chief Ajah Emmanual Ogbonnaya in less than 1 year in office as he layed an exemplary milestone, viz:
- 1st executive chairman to pay bursaries to over seven hundred (700) students of Ivo indigene across varsity and Higher college in the federation.
- 1st executive chairman singlehandedly sponsoring academic fees of over two hundred (200) students of Ivo indigene.
