AN HONOUR WELL DESERVED: OMEOGO CONGRATULATES IMO STATE GOVERNOR ON THE NATIONAL HONOUR CONFERRED ON HIM BY THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT AND ANOTHER BY THE GOVERNMENT OF RIVERS STATE
It is with a heart full of joy and gratitude to God that I, Hon High Chief Canice Moore Chukwugozie Nwachukwu, on behalf of my family and the good people of Orlu, Orsu and Oru East Federal Constituency, heartily congratulate the Executive Governor of Imo State, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma, on the well-deserved honour bestowed upon him by the Federal Government of Nigeria as Commander of the Order of the Niger (CON).
Your Excellency Sir, those of us who are close to you and who have followed your antecedents over the years are not surprised by this worthy recognition.
Your single-minded determination to make your society a better place led you to taking the uncomfortable and politically risky decision to wrestle Imo State from the tight grips of those who were out to systematically destroy it. Since your assumption of office in 2020, your uncommon determination to Recover our state from the ruins of bad governance has made you the signage for good governance based on transparency, accountability and the fear of God.
I am equally elated by the decision of our neighbouring Rivers State people and their Government to honour you with the Grand Service Star of Rivers State (GSSRS).
This is a testament to your large heart and peaceful disposition that has seen you interact freely with everyone irrespective of political parties affiliations, tribal and religion inclinations.
While the reward for hard work is usually more work, it is our believe that Ndi Imo will graciously grant you another tenure to properly consolidate on the gains recorded especially in the areas of infrastructural development, open and transparent governance, civil service reforms, job creation and revolutionary economic and developmental blueprints, among others.
Rest assured Your Excellency, that despite the machinations of opposition elements that are hell bent on reversing the wheels of progress in Imo State and returning it to it’s days of misgovernance, the people have seen the clear difference between light – as represented by your 3R mission in the State, and darkness, which represents our previous state of nature.
Your good deeds have been recognized but by our neighbors and the nation at large. The people of Imo will show their appreciation in November when your mandate will be renewed.
As the representative of the people of Orlu, Orsu and Oru East Federal Constituency, I pray that God will give you the strength to continue to guide Imo State in the paths of restoration, good governance and service delivery.
Congratulations once again Your Excellency, and like I said in the beginning of this message, this is an honour well deserved. Congratulations also to Ndi Imo, our Governor is a model for good governance.
