Just In : Remi Tinubu Reveals Real Age of Tinubu, Says she will be one of oldest first ladies in Nigeria
Oluremi Tinubu, the wife of President-elect Bola Asiwaju Tinubu, has acknowledged that she will become one of the oldest first ladies in the country’s history.
She made this statement during the presidential inauguration interdenominational church service held at the National Christian Centre in Abuja on Sunday.
Oluremi, who currently serves as the senator representing the Lagos Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly, also reiterated that her husband is 71 years old.
She expressed her gratitude to God for her husband’s victory in the February 25 presidential poll.
As Oluremi prepares to take on her role as first lady, her acknowledgment of being one of the oldest to hold this position reflects the changing landscape of leadership in Nigeria.
“I can tell you that we never believed that this could happen but we thank God for giving us hope.
“Asiwaju is 71, I will be 63. I bet I will be one of the oldest first ladies Nigeria has had. We need the grace of God and everyone to do what they are expected to do.
“Today, God has really proved himself as he did on the night of the primaries and put his seal on it. It is a time for perfection in Nigeria,” she said.
With her husband’s presidency set to begin, all eyes will be on Oluremi Tinubu as she assumes her role as the first lady of Nigeria. Her statement serves as a reminder that age should not be a barrier to effective leadership and that individuals of all generations can make significant contributions to the nation’s progress.
