Since the emergence of Ọgwáluwayé His Imperial Majesty Ọba Àjìbáde Gbádégẹṣin Ògúnoyè III, the Ọlọ̀wọ̀ of Ọ̀wọ̀, things have changed for good and good things have started for good in Ọ̀wọ̀.
It was a colourful event at Uselu-Usuada jounction when the people of Ọ̀wọ̀ kingdom came to celebrate with Chief Ebenezer Olípẹ́de and Mrs Bọsẹ Ronkẹ Olípẹ́de the Owner of Ebenco Oil Nigeria Limited, for the commissioning some of the wonderful projects he had been carring out in transforming Ọ̀wọ̀ kingdom by put smiles on the faces of people living in the community.
The event was attended by dignitaries in the community- The Ọlọ̀wọ̀ of Ọ̀wọ̀ Kingdom was represented by his Secretary High Chief Amose Aladesẹyẹ, The Asuada of Usada presented by High Chief Adetoro , Chief Olígbulẹ was also present and Other present degnitaries are Senior Evangelist Owasọyọ, Rev.Adewunmi from Christ Apostolic Church, Usuada, Chief Imam of Usuada, Alhaji Isọla, Engnr.(Pastor) Ologunagba the former Rector of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Ọ̀wọ̀, Chief Dele Falaye, Ambassador Col.Omowa, Chief S.S Aladegoroye who was the Master Of Ceremony (MC) of the occasion and many other important personalities in the community.
In his keynote address at the official commissioning of ultra modern box culvet and borehole water points, Chief Olípẹ́de said it gives him pleasure to warmly welcome all sons and daughters of Ọ̀wọ̀ kingdom to this important event which signals the commencement of good things happening in Ọ̀wọ̀ kingdom during the reign if our dynamic and purposeful father Kabiyesi Ọba Àjìbáde Gbádégẹṣin Ògúnoyè III the Ọlọ̀wọ̀ of Ọ̀wọ̀.
According to Chief Olípẹ́de who said some friends are asking for the motive behind the gesture ” those of my friends asking for motive behind the gesture are right considering the fact that I have never involved in Political activities and I don’t intend to be a politician but simply in adherence to the Clarion call by Ọgwáluwayé during his official coronations in 2019 that all hands must be on deck to develop our acient town (Ọ̀wọ̀).
“On this note, I looked at the rate at which our people were scrambling for drinkable water especially during dry season. I decided to sink a borehole and a reservoir of 4,000 litres per day for the use of Ọ̀wọ̀ people free of charge.
The Chief Executive officer of Ebenco Oil Nigeria Limited further explained that the Uselu/Usuada jounction is almost a death trap and poses a lot of dangers to the pedestrians and other users ” I am convinced beyond doubt that government in their capacity has done a lot but their efforts must be complimented by cooperate organizations as well as individual entity.
” I decided to construct the culvet at a cost borne out by my company and similarly gesture had been replicated at Ikare-Ọ̀wọ̀ junction where eight rooms toilet and bathroom had been built for the use of Ọ̀wọ̀ people pro-bono.
Chief Olípẹ́de promised to do more in due course by the help of Alimighty God, he said this is a tip from the iceberg.
Speaking at the event, the Ọlọ̀wọ̀ of Ọ̀wọ̀ represented by his secretary High Chief Amose Aladesẹyẹ who officially commissioned the borehole water points.
According to High Chief Aladesẹyẹ ” I bring the greetings of His Imperial Majesty the Ọlọ̀wọ̀ of Ọ̀wọ̀ Ọba Àjìbáde Gbádégẹṣin Ògúnoyè III who is absent today due to his Meetings with the Ugbama of Uloro as you all know that Igogo festival kicks off today. His Imperial Majesty is very happy and pleased with what Chief Ebenezer Olípẹ́de his doing to transform Ọ̀wọ̀ Kingdom into a better place to live.
The secratary to the Ọlọ̀wọ̀ said , the King has sent him twice to this place and that shows how much Kabiyesi value the projects carried out. ” Chief Olípẹ́de is a great philanthropist who had carried out great projects in the community and Ọlọ̀wọ̀ is very happy and pleased with them.
High Chief Aladesẹyẹ prayed for the Olípẹ́de family for more blessing and comfort has they are making live comfortable for people in the community.
Also speaking at the event the Ọ̀wọ̀ local government chairman , Chief Hon. Samuel Adegbegi who commissioned the ultra modern box culvet.
Chief Adegbegi said he is happy seen the wonderful things happening in Ọ̀wọ̀ kingdom, he appreciated CEO of Ebenco Oil Nigeria Limited for the wonderful projects well carried out.
“It is very important to show appreciation to whoever is transforming the community, I have knew Chief Olípẹ́de to be a cheerful giver and a philanthropist he is a man with large heart to be doing something in his Community.
” Chief Adegbegi used the opportunity to appealed to Ọ̀wọ̀ sons and daughters home and in diaspora to come together to develop Ọ̀wọ̀ kingdom.
The Chairman elect equally used the opportunity to appeal to people of Ọ̀wọ̀ to come out and vote for Arákùnrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu during the October on Governorship election.
