As an employer of labour myself, I understand first hand that nothing works in organisations except there are competent people to make it possible. The workforce of every organisation is the engine room of the organization and collectively, workers in every society drive economic growth and development.

On the occasion of this year’s workers day, I commit myself to being the voice of the workers and a representative for all those that labour with their hands, brains and sweats to eke out decent and legitimate living for themselves, their families and the society at large.

I will work with my colleagues in the National Assembly in collaboration with the incoming administration of the President-Elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to help workers get the best deals and reap the fruits of their labour.

Back home, I will contribute my quota to support our labour friendly Executive Governor of Imo State, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma, in every way possible as he continues to put smiles on the faces of Ndi Imo and her workers.

I wish every worker a fruitful holiday and the blessings of good health and sound mind in order to enjoy fruitful career life and blissful retirement after service.

God bless Nigerian workers.

Signed

Hon High Chief Canice Moore Chukwugozie Nwachukwu
Member-Elect
Orlu, Orsu and Oru East Federal Constituency
10th National Assembly of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 2023 – 2027
